These dudes were so fucking ahead of their time. We love ‘em. So should you.

SNOWDEN - OFFICIAL

I’m usually fairly partial to a decent dose of chillwave… but this may totally put me over the edge. Holy damn.

TWIN SISTER - OFFICIAL

This has been one of my favorite finds of 2012. You can see them at Coachella or opening for Radiohead or on some other leg of their spring tour but you should definitely see them. The universe demands it.

OTHER LIVES - OFFICIAL

If you don’t love this song, I feel for your soul. If you don’t have one, I totally understand.

These guys are on their way to California and we’re trying to convince them to make a stop in Fresno. Get on their page and show ‘em some love. DO IT!

ROYAL CANOE

Ok, so… I’m not even gonna try and outdo this awesome bio from their last.fm:

Take 5 southern california guys, mix in some surf, stone, and psychedelic, throw them in a haunted mansion in west hochiminster and with a little luck, you might get a band like The Growlers.

The band’s name comes from lead singer Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Moustache Matt. One day, Brooks came home and Matt was takin’ a big growler in the outhouse and the rest is history.

Watch some footage of old Wind N Sea Surf Club back in the 70’s and you might get a taste of what this band’s live shows are like. Catch their show on the beach or in your mothers basement and you’ll be nothing short of loving The Growlers. Just keep an eye on your mom, she might get swept away.

Still one of the best bands out there, man. Pop music with substance. Like ‘em, love ‘em… gotta have ‘em!

Famed San Diego indie rock vets Pinback make a Fresno stop, playing at Fulton 55. As Pinback loyalists know, the band has been quiet in recent years. But Pinback’s show tonight comes on the heels of a new EP that was released on Black Friday.

The San Diego band hasn’t released a proper album since “Autumn of the Seraphs” in 2007, but is expected to release “Information Retrieved” in 2012. Perhaps fans will get a taste of it at the tonight’s gig.

For those of you who follow such things, it’s worth a note that this is the first show at Fulton 55 from Numbskull Productions. So if you want more Numbskull shows of this caliber at Fulton 55, you know what you have to do.”
